Golf Fore Africa

How we make a difference

The goals of Golf Fore Africa center on funding specific projects dedicated to helping children and communities affected by the AIDS pandemic in sub - Saharan Africa. This includes the funding of a wide range of projects which bring hope for a better life by providing access to medical care, education, agricultural assistance and clean water resources.

Projects completed or currently underway include: [1] Mudasomwa, Rwanda Community Project [$250,000] that provided education, basic health needs, agriculture support and clean water to vulnerable children and families affected by AIDS. [Complete]

[2] Rwanda Medical Clinic Building Project [$350,000] that will provide basic health care, maleria treatment, distribution of ARV drugs, and provide maternity care including PMTCT (Prevention of Mother To Child Transmission of HIV).

Construction is scheduled late 2008 or early 2009.

[3] Lesotho Housing Project [$153,000] - We are working with World Vision to  build houses in the small country of Lesotho for children and families who have been orphaned or made vulnerable by AIDS.

In upcoming years, Golf Fore Africa will continue to select projects of high value that provide both immediate and on going benefit to orphans and children made vulnerable by AIDS. All implementation partners will be United States based relief agencies that have demonstrated a long track record of successful project management in Africa.

Our plans moving forward include growing a strong base of corporate sponsors, and expanding the revenue generated by golf related fund raising activities. Our 2009 goal is to increase the number and amount of individual donations by establishing of a "Friends of Golf Fore Africa" giving program.

We believe that golfers in the United States can make a difference around the world in the lives of those less fortunate.

Join us and link your passion to golf to compassion for children!
